Our Sustainalogue e.V. member Lasse Ohlsen got invited by RBZ Eckener-Schule Flensburg AöR to give a workshop on climate change within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - namely on SDG 13 "Climate Action". Lasse started his presentation with some background on climate change as a global threat and how the international community is addressing this collectively (e.g. SDGs, UNFCCC negotiations). This was followed by presentation of potential measures for local climate action, including a discussion on how the school could contribute to increased resilience or to the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions.
RBZ Eckener-Schule Flensburg AöR is a technical college for people doing an apprenticeship. The school regularly organises "school development days" and dedicated this year's day to the Agenda 2030.

Some members of Sustainalogue e.V. were present at COP26 through their occupation in the area of research on climate change. They used the time in Glasgow to inform themselves about the negotiations, took part in talks and presentations alongside the negotiations and meet up with other representatives from research and civil society to gather ideas for projects within the context of the association.
To kick-off the work of Sustainalogue e.V., the founding members connected for a virtual brainstorming session to discuss potential fields of action and concepts for projects. Among the ideas discussed, was an informative platform for (young) people interested to work in the field of sustainability, to create an internship exchange programme for students from the Global South and to strengthen cooperation with educational institutions, for example schools, to develop and implement workshops. In addition, the idea was raised to participate in local civil society events, such as Hamburger Klimawoche.
Against the background of COVID-19 regulations, the brainstormed ideas were collected and documented in order to pursue them once the regulations for public engagement will be lifted.
